Alipay
Alipay is a semi-wallet. Whereas standard wallets require funds to be deposited first, a semi-wallet can forward funds to other payment methods such as a bank account number or credit card.

Alipay is a Chinese payment method available via PAY. The payment option has more than 900 million users and caters to the ever-growing group of Chinese consumers in the Netherlands.
Alipay Pay is the semi-wallet of technology giant Alibaba. Eighty percent of Chinese people use this payment option together with WeChat to complete transactions online or in person.
2. Alipay via QR
With Alipay Barcode Payments, your customers can also pay in person in the store using the Alipay wallet. You start the Alipay transaction in the checkout system. The customer opens the Alipay app. Once your customer chooses Alipay as the payment option, they are redirected to a Hosted Payment Page (HPP) displaying a QR code. Once this code is scanned, the transaction details such as your company / trade name, the amount, and the description of the payment order are shown. In most cases, pressing the PAY NOW button is enough. In certain cases, the app will ask for additional verification such as a password, PIN code, Face ID and/or Touch ID.
3. Alipay online
Paying with Alipay is simple. Your customer needs to create an account with Alipay. A Chinese bank account and/or credit card can easily be linked to the account. During the online checkout process, the customer selects Alipay as the payment method. Your customer can then scan the QR code with their smartphone via the Alipay app.
4. Alipay with a handheld scanner
Payments in the physical store at the checkout can be made via the QuickPAY option. A user can select this option by going to MONEY in the app. This then shows a barcode or a QR code. Both contain a unique code that is valid as long as the Alipay app is open. If no handheld scanner is available, it is possible to display the payment code on the screen instead. In this case, this 18-digit code, which starts with 10, 11, 12, 13 or 14, can be entered manually by the employee. Once the code has been entered, your customer receives a confirmation on their phone. Sometimes payment is completed immediately, and for higher amounts, the customer presses the PAY NOW button to complete the payment. It is also possible that the app asks for the PIN code before the PAY NOW button can be pressed.
The user's phone must be connected to the internet during this payment. The speed of the entire payment depends on this connection. In practice, the app receives the payment request from the checkout within one second.
5. Alipay via the PAY. app
With the PAY. app, you can easily accept payments from your customers via a quick scan. Enter the payment information using a mobile phone. Your customer scans the code on the mobile phone to pay. Your customer then confirms the payment.
6. Activation and payout
You can easily activate Alipay payments in your webshop via PAY. You do this by activating Alipay in the Admin Panel. After activation, PAY. carries out several checks that take up to 48 hours. PAY. also registers you in the system. Once the checks and steps have been fully completed, you will receive an email stating that the payment option is available in your webshop.
The Alipay transactions are received via Stichting Pay.nl and are paid out to you via clearing. There is no need to create an additional account or sign an agreement with Alipay.
