Minimal requirements for Sunmi devices

This page describes the minimum software and certificate requirements for Sunmi devices. It is important that all components listed below meet the required versions to ensure proper operation and full payment functionality.

SunmiPayHardwareService

Minimum required version:

  • General: v3.3.0 or higher

Note: To fully support Bancontact (CPASE), version v5.0.34 or higher is required (or 3.3.334 for the P2 Smartpad).

How to check the version

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Apps & notifications

  3. Go to App info

  4. Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select Show system apps

  5. Scroll to SunmiPayHardwareService

  6. Go to Advanced

  7. The version is shown at the bottom

The version must be higher than v3.3.0 and preferably meet the minimum requirements listed above.


 

Remote Key Injection (RKI) app

Minimum required version: v1.3.32 or higher

In addition:

  • The RKI app must have a valid certificate installed

How to check the RKI version

  1. Open Security Center

  2. Enter the password: SM9876@@

  3. Go to Advanced

  4. Select Key Inject

The RKI version is displayed here and must be v1.3.32 or higher.

 


 

Checking the certificate

The RKI app must contain a valid certificate.

How to check the certificate

  1. Open Security Center

  2. Enter the password: SM9876@@

  3. Go to Advanced

  4. Select Key Inject

  5. Go to Certificate

  6. Select Certificate Query

A pop-up will appear showing information about the certificate loaded on the device.


 

What if the requirements are not met?

If one or more requirements are not met, an upgrade or certificate push can be requested via Sunmi.
If your device was purchased through Pay, Pay can arrange this for you.
