The Software Behind a Reliable Payment Terminal

A modern PAX payment terminal consists of more than just hardware. In the background, various software components ensure that the terminal is properly configured and that payments can be processed securely.

Two important components are CCV ISA and PayGear.

CCV ISA – Installation and Configuration

CCV ISA supports the technical management and configuration of the payment terminal. The application is used to provide the terminal with the correct software and settings and to resynchronize it when necessary.

This allows a terminal, for example, to be reconfigured or to retrieve its settings and parameters again. ISA therefore plays an important role in terminal installation, maintenance, and recovery.

In short:
CCV ISA ensures that the terminal is correctly configured and synchronized.

PayGear – The Payment Engine

PayGear is the Payment Engine of the payment terminal. This software runs in the background and ensures that the terminal has the correct parameters and functionality required to process transactions.

The user does not need to open or operate PayGear themselves. CCV manages this application on the terminal. During a payment, PayGear handles the technical processing required in the background to ensure that the payment transaction is completed correctly.

In short:
PayGear is the invisible engine that controls the payment functionality of the terminal.
