MplusKASSA

MplusKASSA is the most user-friendly and flexible POS software on the Dutch market. We have built a card payment integration so that you can easily use our Yomani ML card terminal in combination with your MplusKASSA. These card payments are visible in real time.

Installation

We have developed an intermediary system to connect your PAY. account and card terminal to the till. This means you don't need to download any external software.

What information do we need from you?

  • MplusKASSA secret
  • Branch number
  • Workstation number

These instructions assume that you change the settings via the till itself. If you change the settings remotely, the instructions may differ.
The following information is needed to be able to link your PAY. account to MplusKASSA.
The integration consists of 3 phases:

  1. Linking your PAY. account to the intermediary system
  2. Linking PAY. in the till
  3. Setting up buttons in the till

Phase 1 - Linking your PAY. account to the intermediary system

Send an email to partner@pay.nl with the following information:

Subject: MplusKASSA integration
AT-code: [AT-code from PAY.]
SL-code: [your sales location within PAY. that you want to use for this integration]
TH-code: [the ID of your card terminal *OPTIONAL*]
Secret token: [secret token from your MplusKASSA]
Branch number: [branch number of the MplusKASSA you want to use for this integration]
Workstation number: [workstation number of the MplusKASSA you want to use for this integration]

You can easily find your connection details under the Manage > Sales Location tab. For full instructions, see the section creating a connection.

Go to Manage > Settings > Webhooks (see image: Secret token).

Branch and workstation number
You can find the branch and workstation number in several ways, including:

  • In the main menu at the top
    In this case, the branch number is 3 and the workstation number is 1
  • In the till, top right
  • Under Manage > Settings > Settings > Inter-branch
If all goes well, you should now have the following information at hand:
  • AT-code (for example: AT-1234-1234)
  • SL-code (for example: SL-1234-1234)
  • TH-code (for example: TH-1234-1234)
  • Secret token (for example: as526scSkdcll23411cvKpllkm12=)
  • Branch number (numbers only, for example: 3)
  • Workstation number (numbers only, for example: 1)
Share this information with partner@pay.nl.
These are all the steps involved in linking your PAY. account to the intermediary system. Do not proceed to phase 2 until you have received a Subscription ID from PAY.

 

Phase 2: Linking PAY. in the till

Keep the following information at hand:

  • Subscription ID (obtained above)
  • Webhooks URL: https://connector-q.pay.nl/mpluskassa/webhooks

 

  1. Open the main menu of your MplusKASSA
  2. Navigate to 'Manage'
  3. Go to 'Settings' > Webhooks
    3.1 Subscription ID: enter the subscription ID you received from PAY. here
    3.2 Secret token: *you shared this token with PAY. earlier
    3.3 Endpoint: enter the following here https://connector-q.pay.nl/mpluskassa/webhooks

The integration is now complete. All that remains is to add the buttons for the payment methods to the till. MplusKASSA can assist with this if needed.

Phase 3: Setting up buttons in the till

The buttons can be set up on the checkout screen, but also as a shortcut. In this example, we set up the buttons on the checkout screen.


Adding a payment method

  1. Navigate via the main menu to Manage
  2. Financial > Payment methods
  3. Add payment method:
    For PIN > payment method ID: K_PAY_PIN
    With description: PAY. PIN (this will appear on the till as a 'payment button')
    For QR > payment method ID: K_PAY_QR
    With description: PAY. QR (this will appear on the till as a 'payment button')
    For the QR payment method, 'QR' must be included in the payment method ID (our code uses this to filter whether a card payment or QR payment should be started)
  4. Activate the payment method for the relevant tills using the checkboxes
  5. Then navigate to Settings > Webhooks
  6. Activate the following events and payment methods specifically for the Pay. payment methods:
    a. cancelExternalPayment (payment method: PAY. PIN and/or PAY. QR)
    b. pollExternalPayment (blocking/polling. Payment method: PAY. PIN and/or PAY. QR)
    c. requestCancelExternalPayment (blocking. Payment method: PAY. PIN and/or PAY. QR)
    d. startExternalPayment (blocking. Payment method: PAY. PIN and/or PAY. QR)
    The following settings are general till settings that our application uses to check whether a payment can be started:
    e. cancelPayment (blocking)
    f. completeSession (blocking)
    g. startPayment (blocking)
    h. startSession (blocking)

Make sure the response time in MplusKASSA is set to more than 5000 (for example 100,000ms). This is to ensure that payments are not cut off when a customer takes longer to pay at the till.

Intermediary system

Via the intermediary system, you can link sales locations to a card terminal. This allows you to set which till can control a card terminal (and which).

Feature: in3 instore

It is possible to show a QR code on the customer display, which can be scanned with the in3 app to complete the transaction. In this example, we'll show you how.

Specific conditions for using in3 with MplusKASSA:
Conditions for the end customer: the customer has an in3 account, the customer has the in3 app installed on their smartphone (with an internet connection).
Conditions for the retailer: customer display or external monitor available, amount is at least 50 euros.

Step Description
1 Scan products at the checkout (immediately, on a table, or in an order)
2 Go to 'checkout'
3 On the checkout screen, select the QR button you created earlier (for example: QR via PAY).
4 Select "Checkout" at the bottom right.
5 A QR code is displayed on the customer display or external monitor.
6 The customer can scan this with the camera of a mobile device:
  • Directly with the in3 app: the transaction can be completed via the in3 app
  • Via the camera: the general Pay. payment page will open, which loads all activated payment methods for the point of sale (such as iDEAL and/or credit card).

31.7. Troubleshooting

Error message Solution
This webhook did not provide a successful response. Please check the log for more details.
  • Check that there are no spaces/backspaces after the endpoint URL (via Manage > Settings > Webhooks)
  • If the 'backgroundPoll' event is enabled, disable it. It is not required for the application (via Manage > Settings > Webhooks).
  • Ensure the response time is set to at least 50,000 ms.
Terminal in use for max. [xx] seconds Check that startExternalPayment is enabled solely to retrieve data (blocking (receive data)). The Polling column should be turned off (via Manage > Settings > Webhooks).

What are the conditions of this integration for me as a user?

How do I use the card integration?

Pay. establishes the connection between the systems based on your secret token and the branch/workstation number combination. You then add a payment method to the till, and a button on the checkout screen. This can be used for both the card and the QR solution. Note that you need a customer display for the QR solution.
