1. Terms and Definitions
The table below uses definitions that refer to the documentation of the specified payment method.
| Term | Explanation |

| 3D Secure | Extra security in the credit card payment process using an additional code or password. |
| Credit card acquirer | Company that processes credit card transactions. |
| Admin Panel | The web application where the user can change settings, request statistical information, and make payments. |
| Chargeback | Revocation of payment by credit card carried out by the end user. |
| Clearing | Payment of accumulated funds to the merchant's bank account. |
| MOI | Notification of Unjustified Collection: revocation of payment by the end user via direct debit. |
| Third-Party Funds Foundation | Third-party funds are sums of money belonging to our merchants (third parties) that are managed by virtue of our function as a Payment Service Provider. |
| Refund | Also known as a refund: a refund using the payment details in the PAY. system of the original payment (rollback). |
| Cancel | Reversing a payment, also known as a chargeback or reversal, is the option available to a bank account holder to reverse a payment. In this case, there is an original payment and an additional transaction with the negative value of the original payment. |
| Rollback | With a rollback, the payment order is withdrawn as if it had never been executed. This means that no fees are charged by the payment option for the original payment. |
| Transaction costs | The fee that PAY. charges per transaction for financial processing. |
2. Available Payment Methods
The available payment methods depend on the package you have chosen and the category your webshop / website falls within.
Per Package
The Pioneer package includes all payment methods with the exception of direct debit and credit cards. For these, you need at least a Professional package.
Per Category
Popular payment methods such as iDEAL and Bancontact are available in all categories. However, there are also payment methods that are only available when your webshop falls within a specific category. An example is the Fashioncheque, which is only available for clothing-related categories. This documentation shows, for each payment method, in which categories it is available.

3. Payout Speed
The payout speed depends on your relationship with PAY. The speed is automatically increased as you become established in our system for longer or receive more payments. More information about this, and the payout speed per payment method, can be found here.
4. Implementing Payment Methods
In the Admin Panel you can create a sales location for your webshop / website. In this sales location you can indicate which payment methods you want to offer your customers.
